Shiver Me Timbers Tuesday - January

Apparently The First Mate was adamant on proving he was both a toddler and a rough and tumble boy this past month. Here are the moments that really shivered me timbers:

He thought is was hilarious and
got mad when I took him out.

I was going to the bathroom (probably how all toddler trouble stories start) and heard a crash. There was no crying to follow, but I still rushed in anyways. That's when I discovered a pushed over pirate rocking chair with a pretzeled First Mate inside.

Just last week The First Mate decided he wanted to be just like one of the dogs and climbed up on the back of the couch. In fact, climbing is his new pastime.

Here he is climbing into his jumper. He was so proud of himself that he even gave a round of applause. At least his jumper is getting used for something.

My toddler also tried to run away from home, I didn't think I would have to deal with that so soon. Yup, he grabbed his suitcase and headed for the door. He told me "Bye Bye" and everything. It didn't last long, he instantly ran back and gave me a hug.

I think this was one of my favorite moments. He loves to get into this little trunk under the table in the entry. Just this past week he discovered the table glass above him. We had a blast playing and making faces at each other.

There was no shortage of comical moments this past month. Here are some more moments:

Top: He really wanted his water cup on the counter.
Middle (left to right): Looking out the window, probably for more Christmas packages to climb on. Riding his new dump truck and clapping with excitement. Helping Grandma decorate the tree, he climbed on the ladder all on his own. Testing to see if those newly delivered packages are breakable.
Bottom: Checking out the ladies while he cruises by in his ride.

Check out the other Shiver Me Timbers Tuesdays too.
