Waiting on Treasure from Citrus Lane

In just a month a treasure of goodies will be dropped on my doorstep. I am thrilled, but the suspense and the wait is killing me. I wasn't going to write about it until my box showed up (plus I didn't tell The Captain about it) but so many people have been sharing what they got in their January boxes I got anxious. So what's in this treasure? Well that's part of the suspense, I don't know exactly. What I do know is it's got plenty to make me and The First Mate happy.

The box is coming care of Citrus Lane. Until about a month ago I had never heard of Citrus Lane. Now it seems to be everywhere. This genius company sends a care package each month to you and your little one (up to 5 years old) that includes 4-5 things.

  1. A age specific toy for you child (you can pick a gender or leave it gender neutral too)
  2. A book
  3. A snack for you child
  4. Something for mom (household products, a chocolate bar, etc.)
  5. Other great stuff for you and your kid
Disclosure: I am in no way affiliated with Citrus Lane. I do provided a referral link which gets me a $10 credit for anyone who orders a subscription through my link. The Amazon images go through my affiliate link, as I am a member of the Amazon affiliate program.

Here are some items that have shown up in a box before:

The items are top rated usually green and eco-friendly. Most boxes are valued at over $40 a box. Don't worry, you don't pay that price at all. (Trust me, I wouldn't have signed up if you did). Now is the time you are saying "What's the catch?"

There isn't really a catch, just a reasonable cost. A box costs $25 and you can pick a 1 month subscription or 3 month subscription. If you want to save more money Citrus Lane also offers 6 month and 12 month subscriptions at an even further discounted price of $21. They also offer free shipping on all orders, so no sneaky hidden costs. there.

In case you aren't aware of this, I am cheap. I also cannot pass up a good deal. I signed up for Citrus Lane during their sale and received half off my order. So just $12.50 gets me a box delivered to my door next month. I also like to help out my friends (you guys are my friends) so if you sign up through my link you save $10 when you sign up for a subscription.

Update: Right not the 50% off code it back! Sign up now with using the TAKEHALF code and you can get your February box for just $12.50 too! Then you'll be waiting on your own treasure like me (it's kind of torturous, but fun).

The First Mate really doesn't need new toys, but like I said, I can't pass up a deal. I like the fact that it is an assortment of stuff, not just toys. Besides, it's great to give as gifts or donate to those in need. If you are saying the same thing, remember you can cancel anytime. I figure I can save some money with the sign up discount and then cancel if I want to. You can totally steal this strategy too.

Be sure to check back in February to see what goodies I got in my box and if I decide it's worth it to keep my subscription going.

For the sake of full disclosure, If you sign up through the link I will receive a $10 credit from Citrus Lane. I am not receiving any other compensation from Citrus Lane and this is completely my opinion. Shoot, I haven't even gotten a box yet. Thanks if you do sign up, it helps with me being cheap.
