Since it's nearly June, that means the year is half over. I am not only in shock about this, but also in a bit of denial. This means I turn 30 in just 3 months, but more on that in another post, I'm sure.
I thought now would be the perfect time to look back at my New Years Resolutions and see how I am doing so far. Like a crazy person I made 10 resolutions and shared them publicly so everyone can call me out on failure. However, I think that may be genius, because I've stuck to ALL of them.
Eat Healthier- I have actually done OK with this one. I am bringing salads to work for lunch and paying attention to what I eat. I could still do better though, but cookies still exist, so it's not my fault.
Cook More, Eat Less Processed Food- I started out doing terrible at this and still eating fast food. In the past month or so I've really stepped it up. I've shopped at the Farmer's Market and bought food with just a few ingredients. I like knowing what's in my food and where it comes from.
Build My Blog- This is a pretty broad goal, but the blog is growing. I hope to keep this up and who know where I'll be at the end of the year. I have bought my first blogging conference ticket too!
Be Positive, But Still Be Me- I think I'm doing well with this, most of the time. I take one week off a month from positivity for my lady days.
Work On Becoming A WAHM- I thought this would be the hardest one, but I am working on it. I hope to report some exciting opportunities, but it's the very early stages, so I have no idea where it will take me.
Get Back To "Me"- I am happy to report that I've stuck to this one. I changed my hair color, painted my nails, bought cute clothes and shoes, and even have worn skirts, dresses, and make-up on occasion. Go me!
Have Face To Face Conversations With The Captain- We've taken some vacations together, so I think this is happening. I can't quite remember the last conversation we actually had, but it was probably about Mexican food.
Revisit My Inner Wench- I'm sure The Captain would say I can improve in this area, but I think I'm making strides considering our living situation. That's all I have to say about that, so mind your beeswax.
Be Nicer To The Captain- I asked The Captain how I am doing on this one and he said no because I was lying in his spot of the bed. I was just making sure there was nothing there that would hinder his sleep. I found it to be comfy, so I gave him permission to lie down.
Sleep- I didn't think I had much chance to make this better, but I am happy to report The First Mate is sleeping through the night on occasion. This week hasn't been so great thanks to some molars, but it is SO MUCH BETTER
How are you doing on your resolutions?
