Shiver Me Timbers Tuesday - May

Well it's the first Tuesday in May and that means another Shiver Me Timbers Tuesday. I don't know if there were fewer shenanigans or if The First Mate was just too quick for pictures this month. Judging by the blurry photos, I think it was the latter.

This little gardener wasn't causing trouble here, but he sure was cute. I don't think I ever expected to see my kid "mowing" the lawn. I should have gotten a video of his technique too. He fills the mower with gas, pulls to start it, adjusts the speed, and turns the key. Then it's off to cut the lawn like his Papa. It's precious. The lawn mower is pretty cool. I added it to The Ship Shop, or you can buy it through my affiliate link here: Little Tikes Gas 'n Go Mower

The First Mate's new hangout is the cubby in the living room. It's just a little nook tucked in to the wall, but it's just his size. He spends a large part of the day filling it with pillows and blankets to play night night. Jackson made his way into the comfy cavern and The First Mate had a blast playing with him.

It was all cuteness this past month. I distinctly remember The Captain saying:
"Be Nice! No stabbing!"
There was also this moment of toddler trouble:

He took it upon himself to push the dog food container into the living room, knock it over, and then open it. While the dogs found this to be a treat, I did not. Then The First Mate proceeded to poke at the food with his drumstick, and then me as I cleaned it up.

Then there are these daily gems. Nursing an 19 month old is never boring, and it's sometimes hilarious. These gymnurstics usually end up with a foot in my face or me struggling to breathe.

Sorry for the blurry pick, there was a toddler in motion!
Once again, grown up shoes were a big hit like last month. There was also the ongoing toddle theme of climbing.

This may have been my fault because he was dressed in his Little Daredevil outfit complete with cape.

As always, I saved my favorite moment for last:

The Captain was getting out of the shower and The First Mate was close by. He looks up, points at his father's manly bits and says "EWW!" I about died with laughter.

Feel free to share your favorite moments from parenthood below.

  1. That last one is so hilarious!! And I remember the toddler nursing gymnastics, fun times. :)

    1. I'm not sure my husband found the last one as hilarious as I did. As for the gymnurstics, it never ceases to amaze me how flexible my toddler and my boobs are.

I'd love to hear what you've got to say. Please leave a comment and I'll do my best to reply to them all.
