Pirate's Log - May

The year is now half over as we enter June. It's time for another Pirate's Log to catch up on what you might have missed in May.

Pirate's Log April: If you really feel like catching, then click through the posts in April. You can follow the links back to all 167 of my posts by reviewing the past Pirate's Logs.

Thankful Thursdays: My ongoing series where I recognize life's daily treasures, which you probably figured out from the picture.

How to Cool Baby Fever: My ovaries ache sometimes for another baby. I'm surrounded by a world of preggos and people trying to conceive. It's enough to drive me into a baby fever hysteria. Luckily, I found a temporary cure in some retail therapy.

How to Make an Idiot of Yourself: Sometimes you just make yourself look dumb. This was one of those times, for sure.

Shiver Me Timbers Tuesday- May: Another series on the blog is Shiver Me Timbers Tuesday. It's reserved for the first Tuesday of every month and chronicles the ridiculousness of being a parent. I hope my kid starts acting up this weekend so I have plenty of material for June's edition.

The Internet Gave Me a Social Life: I never thought blogging would give me so many opportunities to meet new people. It's actually given me quite the social life.

Back in the Arms of the Polar Bear: I finally got my new car back from the shop! It was a long 39 days without out it and I compiled all the things I missed about I my Nissan LEAF.

Merry Christmas Round Two: We celebrated Christmas this May. It might sound weird, but it's become our new family tradition and I think we'll keep it.

Citrus Lane May Box: Look at the Loot: We have kept up with our Citrus Lane subscription and the May box did not disappoint. As always, there is a code for you to save $10 on your first order.

Basement Barbies: A Childhood Account of a Tornado: Following the devastation in Moore, Oklahoma and similar safdening news today, I felt need to write this piece from my childhood. I've also included an easy link to donate to the Red Cross to help the families in need.

One Thing I Love About Summer: I am not a summer person, but I did find one thing I liked about this summer, Green Child Magazine. The First Mate was also pictured in this issue!

Boob Destiny: Breastfeeding has been a long, ongoing journey. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was not prepared for this revelation.

Halfway Through the Year and I'm Not a Failure: We've reached the halfway point of the 2013 so it seemed fitting to review my New Years Resolutions. I think I've done pretty well.

If I'm Having a Midlife Crisis Does That Make Me Old?: That chillingly terrifying photo is a guess as to what I'll look like when I'm old. I'll be turning 30 in September and I think I'm having a midlife crisis, ugh.
