Citrus Lane August Box: Look at the Loot

This month's Citrus Lane box showed up on our doorstep quicker than usual. I had just barely seen the shipping notification in my email when I heard the doorbell ring. We quickly opened the box to see what treats would be inside.

Barefoot Books Octopus Opposites

Thanks to Citrus Lane, we are big Barefoot Books fans. We read and watch the CD for our other book all the time. I swear every month Citrus Lane hits the nail more and more on the head. We love Octopus stuff, so this book was perfect.

Crocodile Creek Dump Truck 5" Playground Ball

This truck ball was also a great inclusion this month. The First Mate is obsessed with all types of vehicles, but mostly trucks. He shouts "TRUCK" every time he sees one pass by. He has already gotten a kick out of kicking this ball around. Citrus Lane also included a set of bowling pins with this ball that we already started decorating. These were only included in some boxes to see if activities are something subscribers are interested in.

Plum Organics Fruit Straws in Strawberry Vanilla

These snacks sure didn't last long. There were two in the box, though only one is pictured. He always spots the snacks right away. These straws are like a fruit snack, but you can use them as a straw too. I tried to get The First Mate to drink his almond milk with it, but he kept biting it instead. I tried it myself, and it was pretty as both a straw and snack.
Ouchies Jr. Adhesive Bandages, Truck Town

With a nearly two year old boy in the house ouchies are bound to happen, usually daily. These bandages are adorable with truck on them. They were actually the first thing The First Mate wanted to play with. Then he tried to eat them, so we put them in the medicine cabinet to be used for his next boo boo.

Clean Well All Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes

These will be great for quick clean ups. I love that they are all natural too. I feel good about using them on his hands and face. These will be a diaper bag essential.

FabKids Coupon OfferFab Kids

A coupon for a free outfit was included in this month's box. That's a $39.95 value in itself. I am not usually a fan of these coupon offers. I never used my Just Fab coupon because I found absolutely nothing in stock that I would ever wear. However, I did find a cute outfit already from FabKids. Check it out:

Overall, I think this was a pretty good box. It was well suited to my son's likes and we will use most of it. The total value of this box was a whopping $68.71! That's a great deal, considering boxes cost $21-$25 each. If you use code TAKEHALF when you sign up you'll get your box for only $12.50.

If you aren't set on a whole box, but want any of the goodies we got, you can purchase them easily through the above amazon links or in The Ship Shop.
