Shedding My Pirate Booty- Week Five

This week went great, statistically. I was way under my calorie goal and I earned more calories exercising that I had any week before. However, the number on the scale didn't match my success from the week.

Week Five Results:

Calories Burned Exercising: 1085
Net Calories Consumed: 11,800/12,600
Weight Lost:  +1.5 lbs, -15 lbs total
Current Weight: 213 lbs

It was my 30th birthday on Saturday, so I wanted to celebrate. I didn't go crazy, by any means. I just enjoyed myself at dinner and had a beer or two. I can tell that I'm retaining some water from the past two days of indulgence. Although a weight gain is disappointing, I know it will all come off in the next week.

I'm also armed with something new to help me. For my birthday I received a Fitbit Flex {amazon affiliate link} This cool contraption tracks my calories burned, step walked, activity, sleep, and all sorts of stuff. It also links up with MyFitnessPal to input my information. It's been very nice to see I'm slightly more active than I thought. It's also been interesting seeing how I sleep. I, unfortunately can't change much about my sleep habits. It's mostly dependent on my toddler.

I also completed my #2WeekChallenge with Mamavation. I am going to try and keep it going, well maybe minus the burpees. I hate those things so much. I guess I can thank those burpees and other exercises for losing 9.5 inches in two weeks! I was not expecting such awesome results. I am looking forward to my improved results next week, too.  Come back and see how I do each Monday. You can also join me on MyFitnessPal and we can support each other.

  1. Lady you are so going to rock this! Don't let an up week get you down. Just wait till the scale does amazing things next week.

  2. Thanks for the support Danielle. It's tough not to beat myself up, but I know I've still made good progress. Besides, I only turn 30 once, so I'm glad I took the time to enjoy it.

I'd love to hear what you've got to say. Please leave a comment and I'll do my best to reply to them all.
