Shedding My Pirate Booty Week Ten

As I started to write this, I realized 10 weeks doesn't seem very long to me at all. Maybe that's because I still have a long way to go to reach my weight loss goals. I still want to lose somewhere between 40-50 more pounds. That doesn't sound ominous, though, it sounds attainable. I am a third of the way there, so I just need to repeat these last 10 weeks twice. Piece of cake. As long as that cake is maple icing glazed pumpkin spice cake made with zero calorie sweetener.

Pumpkin Spice Mini Bundts with Maple Icing. Made with Swerve Sweetener.

The First Mate and I made these yesterday using a sample package of Swerve Sweetener that I received in the mail. They didn't have that "artificial" taste that some sweeteners give. I was also happy to know that Swerve is natural and GMO free, bonus points for sure. I'm not being told to write this, that's just my honest opinion.

So, I ended up eating a ton of those mini cakes, but thankfully, they were pretty guilt free. I feel like I ate a lot of "off limits" items this week, but that's what has made me successful thus far. I don't deprive myself, because then I'll rebel against my diet. Here is how my calories worked out this week.

Week Ten Results:

Calories Burned Exercising: 3294
Net Calories Consumed: 12,482/12,390
Weight Lost: -0 lbs, 21 lbs total
Current Weight: 207 lbs

So I broke even this week. Honestly, I'm thrilled with that. I indulged in a bit of Halloween candy this week, I mean The First Mate can't eat all that candy. I also had a couple delicious dark beers to kick off San Diego Beer Week.

I am going try something new this week. I have been eating enough calories to lose one pound a week, but I'm going to bump that up to a pound and a half. That may sound like nothing, but that's 260 fewer a day. Statistically, I've actually lost an average of 2.1 pounds per week, so I am optimistic that my results will be even greater. Check back next Monday to see how it went.

If you are impatient, like me, follow along all week. I track everything using MyFitnessPal, so you add me and see what I eat.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not being compensated in any way to endorse Swerve. I received the free product to try, but not in exchange for a post or review. The thoughts and opinions expressed were all my own. I would love to be a Swerve Ambassador, but I am not one.
