I was still anxious to open the box though. It was larger, square, and had some weight to it. It felt like a good box. When we finally got around to opening it in the evening, this is what we found:
Just a couple disclaimers before I go into full details. We are moving right now, so I am writing this entire post on my phone. I know everyone likes to see these posts as soon as possible, so I felt it was worth it. Sorry if it isn't formatted well. Then my usual Citrus Lane box blurb. I am in no way affiliated with Citrus Lane. I do provide a referral link which gets me a $10 credit for anyone who orders a subscription through my link. The Amazon images go through my affiliate link, as I am a member of the Amazon affiliate program.
Melissa & Doug Chunky Puzzle- Safari Animal
We have a few Melissa & Doug toys and love them. They are durable and great toys. I was thrilled to see this in the box. It was the first thing The First Mate went for.
Pearhead Handprint Wall Art
This is a Citrus Lane exclusive item. Along with the canvas, it contains a brush, tray, and pink and blue paint. I'm not crazy about just pink and blue paint. I was indifferent about this item first because it seemed like something for a newborn keepsake. However, now I have been brainstorming cute ways to get crafty with this. It will be a fun toddler activity.
Episencial Snuggly Lotion
We've received Episencial items in our boxes before. I like their products and we actually got a full size tube this time. Not the 8 ounce, but a 3.4 ounce size. The cherry butter smell is pretty too.
Barefoot Books I Took the Moon for a Walk
Barefoot Books isn't new to Citrus Lane, we received another in our May box. It is probably our most used items we've ever received from a box. This book doesn't have a CD like our last one, but it's cute.
Barefoot Book Ambassador Coupon
I won't be using this item at all. It's already in recycling. This saves you $40 off of their normally $139.99 starter pack to the Barefoot Books Ambassador Program. From what I gather, this is for those interested in selling these books and earning a commission. Bottoms line, it's still a $99 buy in and I don't have the money or time for that. It may be a great value for all the books you receive, but I'm ok with passing this one up.
The total value of this box, with some price estimations, came out to be $79.05, with the coupon. Since I won't be using that, my box works out to $39.05. It's still a good value, and I'm happy with this box. Even though there were fewer items and no snack, I'd much rather have good quality items. Melissa & Doug products are just that, and they're welcome in our Citrus Lane boxes anytime.
