Shedding My Pirate Booty Six Month Update

Believe it or not, it has been 6 months of Shedding My Pirate Booty. Yes, half a year, 26 weeks, 182 days, or whatever you call it. What I call it is halfway there. I have goals in mind (3 actually) and I want to achieve them within the next 6 months. I can absolutely get there with my determination and focus. If it takes longer than 6 months, that's okay. I'll still get there.

Thanks to Mamavation Bootcamp 18, I have incorporated regular exercise into my lifestyle and even started to like running. Seriously. Running. The entire bootcamp experience has been life changing and I don't even know how to sum it up into words. I've got a vlog about it up on Mamavation now along with more of my thoughts.

Yes, that is Bootcamp Dee at the top of the leaderboard. I did beat her one day though.
In case I didn't mention it enough, I was on vacation last week. I made sure to stay active and I actually hit a new high in my FitBit steps. Granted, I was at Disneyland busting my booty, but still. I hit over 20,000 steps in one day! Because I was on vacation, I also had a day where I exceeded my calorie goal, but that was Christmas Dinner (we celebrate second Christmas in my family, more to come one that soon, but check out last year's festivities). Overall, I did burn fewer calories than the previous week, but I still had good results.

Week Twenty-Six Results:

Calories Burned Exercising: 3794
Net Calories Consumed: 8788/10,290
Weight Lost:  -1.5 lbs,  -44.5 lbs total
Current Weight:  183.5 lbs

I lost another 1.5 pounds! I'll take it, especially on vacation. I am hoping to have another great weigh in to end bootcamp right. I'm taking another short vacation for a blog conference, but I still plan to keep moving. I will be participated in the Mamavation Virtaul 5K this weekend and I'm excited. Another milestone I reached is my BMI has officially dropped below "obese" and into "overweight." That may not sound exciting, but I assure, it was wonderful to see.

I am still in awe that bootcamp is ending and that it's been six months of SMPB. Thank you all for your support. Be sure to see the rest of my thoughts on the week as well as those of +Dee Copeland  and +Toni Carrigan on Mamavation.
