Shedding My Pirate Booty Week Thirty

Another week of Shedding My Pirate Booty has gone by and brought me to week 30! I was coming off a high of last week and hitting my 50 pound milestone. I was also still dealing with some sort of stomach bug for the earlier part of the week that kept me from eating my usual food.

Honestly, I think I was feeling too good about hitting 50 pounds. It made me a little complacent and I didn't stick to my routine as I should have. I just wasn't getting enough exercise and I went overboard on my calories yesterday by a lot.

The chart makes it look like I went crazy on calories quite a few days, but my goal set from Mamavation Bootcamp is 1700-1900 calories a day. This is much higher than the My Fitness Pal calculation of 1440 calories. The reason I get more calories is because of the level of exercise I incorporate and my vegetarian diet needs more calories to sustain the right amount of protein. I'm also still nursing, although not frequently, it still requires some of my calories to produce milk.

With all of those factors in my week, here's what the scale gave me:

Week Thirty Results:

Calories Burned Exercising: 2088
Net Calories Consumed: 10840/10,080
Weight Lost:  -1 lbs,  -51 lbs total
Current Weight:  177 lbs

I'm glad to be down another pound, though I was hoping for two this week to hit my pre pregnancy weight. Now that I am able to eat food to fuel my exercise, I have no excuse for not getting in my workouts. I miss my running, but I am a little scared to get back to it. It's been a while and I know me. I will want to go as hard as before and should probably take it easy at first. I did do some burpees last night though, and I was pretty rusty.

So here are some weekly goals I'm setting to keep me on track:

  • Exercise 6 days
  • Run at least 2 times
  • Drink my water
  • Stay within my calories
  • Hangout with my fellow bootcampers +Toni Carrigan and +Dee Copeland
See you next week, and I'll let you know how it went.
