Time to Have More Fun

If you've read my bio, then you know I have a new hair style all the time. I just can't keep it the same for very long. Just in the year and a half I've had this blog I've already had multiple styles and a couple different colors.
Some of my looks since starting Pirate Prerogative
The other night, while The Captain and The First Mate were away at Disneyland, I seized the opportunity to tackle my hair. A night without a toddler is ideal for the long and multi-step process.

I had no idea what I was going to do until I was on my way to the beauty supply store. Then it just seemed to make sense. It was time for blonde. It's been a long time since I had blonde hair, I don't even know how long, honestly.

The only downside of switching to the lighter hue 'doo is it takes forever. The next four hours went like this.

Apply first process of bleach and let it do it's magic for 45 minutes.

See, blonde's really do have more fun.

Rinse with purple shampoo and take a picture to document that time my hair looked a weird orange and was regretting my decision.

Going blonde? You can make this orange terror look better, promise.

Cut hair so it looks less terrible and make a less cranky face.

The long process to blonde looks like this.

Apply another process of bleach on the orangey bits and wait, again. This time add in some diffused heat to make that bleach turn my hair the right shade if blonde.

This is the reality of going blonde.

Rinse again with magical purple shampoo. Realize it's after 11pm and I have to walk the dogs in the middle if this process.

In the midst of a the long process of becoming blonde I began to resemble Niall Horan

Decide I'm tired and I'll will deal with my hair in the morning. Wake up, touch up cut, style and post obligatory "after" pic.

My after selfie once going blonde

Just two days later, I got the urge to change it up again with some soft pink hair chalk for Easter. Never content.

Festive pastels for Easter

Although it wasn't fun getting there, blonde has been more fun so far.

Do you think blondes really do have more fun?

How often do you change your hairstyle?
