Do yourself a Sunday service, and think of something that makes you awesome. Say it out loud. This might seem a little Stuart Smalley at first, but having positive thoughts can really change your attitude and your mood.
Let others know they are awesome, but don't forget about the rad on in the mirror. This is pretty much how I live my life now. Not in mohair cardigans talking to myself, but thinking more positively.
This was actually a concept I was resistant to because I've always been a sarcastic sass master, and slightly cynical. I didn't want to lose myself in my quest to become a happier person. I started small with my Thankful Thursdays series and I will tell you that gratitude changes your attitude. Just recognizing the things that made me happy and grateful helped with a more positive outlook on life.
Don't get me wrong, I can still toss out a witty remark and some sass. That's in my blood. Now I just try my best not focus on the negative, and it's still a process.
