It is a test bed for techniques, and for providing outcome evaluation at a community level. Carole began GrassrootsHealth by gathering a panel consisting of over 40 international scientists, researchers and experts who agree that vitamin D deficiency is a major health epidemic for which something must be done now. The organization, is committed to improving vitamin D status worldwide; its principal method consists of two efforts: 1) providing educational material concerning the benefits of adequate vitamin D status, and 2) providing information about the participants’ own vitamin D status, thereby allowing participants to adjust their vitamin D intake to achieve desired levels.
